For the past eight years, Ryan Ideus & the Feudin Hillbillys have taken their brand of country all over Central Illinois, opening up for the likes of Luke Bryan, Neal McCoy, LoCash Cowboys, Tim McGraw.  Our style and professionalism are unmatched.

Some places ran out of beer and some have just plain run out of room.  We make it our goal to be THE hardest working band out there before, during, and after showtime.  We promise to raise the bar for any future band after we play…….period.  Simply ask places we played how many breaks we DON’T take and our point is proven.  We have been known to play 3 hours straight on numerous occasions giving many their best night ever, either thru beer or attendance.

Our goal is simple, great music, great show, great fun, for great people.

Thank you for your interest and time and try to hear AND see a show!

Peace and Love

It’s not easy to stand out in today’s pool of 80’s rocker wannabes, but for the seven glam bandits who make up Hairbanger’s Ball, the Chicago-spun tribute band taking the country by storm, distinction is as effortless as late-night debauchery.

Back in 2001, what started out as a “what if” plan to bring six extremely talented musicians together to revive “The Decade of Decadence” quickly turned into one of the most successful live music acts touring the United States. Today, Hairbanger’s Ball is a seven piece band that is louder, prouder and more exciting then ever. The group has sold out several venues and festivals over the past 10 years and played to crowds ranging in size from 500 to 10,000 people. Hairbanger’s Ball has also traveled to other countries to perform concerts for the U.S. Air-force and U.S. Navy.

Living up to it’s name, Hairbanger’s Ball delivers uncanny live renditions of legendary 80’s hair rock bands like Poison, Def Leppard, Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crue, Van Halen and Bon Jovi, just to name a few. Between band mates Sakk Wylde (Lead Vocals), Polly Pantz (Keys/ Vocals), Jeff Jackson (Guitar), Sean Jovi (Bass Guitar), Clare Crush (Keys/Vocals), Bobby Bones (Guitar) and The Kid (Drums), the vocals are dead-on, the riffs are tight and just right and no props are spared.

Hairbanger’s Ball is an ageless act that has a unique knack to work with their audiences, integrating them into their performances for the most memorable shows. Whether it’s a hip club, college bar or a large venue hosting thousands on special occasions, the group tailors every performance for a truly unforgettable night.

The booze flows, the light show is awesome and the confetti flies. The make-up is heavy, the hair is big, the tattoos intrusive and the tight spandex invites rabid fans into a jungle of over-the-top monster rock. Don’t let the “party band” persona fool you.  The group has a reputation for being remarkably gifted musicians who tackle the toughest, most complex songs that other bands wouldn’t dare perform.

Bar none, Hairbanger’s Ball is the biggest rock show / party on the road today, and it is one of the few times you will see your average yuppie consultant throwing back a round of shots with the hardcore metal-head who works on an assembly line across town.  Hairbanger’s Ball is a chronic party on maximum overdrive that is sure to please fans of all ages!

Funky Monks is America’s premier Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band, playing all the RHCP radio favorites plus the great punk & funk classics that helped put the multi-Grammy winning Peppers on the map. Since formed in 2003 by bassist Jeff Genualdi (Jefflea), we’ve had the privilege of playing at venues as far as Dominican Republic, Mexico, California, Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois & Wisconsin including many major universities within the Midwestern/Eastern states. We’re even working on breaking the Canadian border!

We are fans playing for fans, and every show is a celebration. While offering a growing catalogue of 80+ songs, we focus on giving our audience the same live experience they would expect from a real Peppers concert – stage energy, crowd interaction, funky live jams, random surprise covers and of course all their biggest hits. Our goal is to make everybody in the venue forget for just a moment that they are watching a tribute band. With uncanny Anthony vocals, funky Flea-style bass, Chad’s heavy-hitting rock style to a guitarist who can bring Slovak, Navarro and Frusciante together all in one show….you won’t find a more accurate tribute to the Red Hot Chili Peppers!

Skip the ceremony and start the party! Wedding Banned is a musical experience, a show, an event and something you will not forget. Like a bat out of hell from Gas City, In., Wedding Banned has become the hottest party in the Midwest; playing all your favorite hits from the 80’s, 90’s and beyond. Wedding Banned picks two members from the audience to become the “bride” and “groom” and turns every show into the ultimate wedding reception. Whether it’s the bride and groom on stage during the garter toss, or beautiful ladies from the audience rocking with the band, you can throw the rules of a traditional rock show out the window. If you want to have one of those, “you should have been there nights,” come and see Wedding Banned!

Wedding Banned has worked with clients such as: Star Events, Chicago Special Events, Taste of Chicago, Easter Seals, Taste of Lombard, The City of Peoria, Lisle Eyes to the Sky Fest, Palatine Fest, Durty Nellie’s, 115 Bourbon Street, Joe’s on Weed St., The Cubby Bear and Blue Chip Casino to name a few. Wedding Banned will cater their show, from mild to wild, to your event. Wedding Banned plays corporate events, weddings, street festivals, major clubs and wants to help make your event or show as successful as possible.

What people who have Wedding Banned play their Wedding say:

Lary Grimaldi:  This is easy. BEST. WEDDING. EVER. We will relive it at every street fest we can get to.

Michelle Lauer: Wedding Banned has such a wild reputation; we had only seen their club show. They did exactly what we wanted, a “G” rated show until the kids left, lol. Hire them, it was the highlight of the night!

Review of Andersonvillle Midsommar Fest 2010: “There were over 50 different performances throughout the weekend, so it was difficult to catch all of them. However, one band stood out among the rest of the crowd: Wedding Banned. The highlight of the concert was front man and lead singer Mayor Manaconda, who regularly takes swigs from a bottle of Jack Daniels between songs and never passes up an opportunity to remind the crowd how drunk he is. He knows how to make the audience laugh, and his antics ensure that everyone in the crowd is having fun watching the band. Manaconda’s monologues between each song give the band a memorable personality. ”
– JARRED TROST, The Chicago Blog (Jun 15, 2010)

“One of their goals was to play some of the major clubs in the Chicagoland area; they have now played and sold out all of these clubs. It is a fantastic accomplishment to have 1,000 people come to see them play. They started with a free show and are now one of the largest drawing cover bands in the area.”
– Courtenay Stewart, Bar Life Magazine (Jun 24, 2010)

“Wedding Banned got their start 5 years ago. They wanted  to create an interactive show that would constantly evolve. The characters, bride and groom, and songs change with every show. They played their first show for free at the Pontiac Café (now known as the Big Star in Wicker Park.) Although they had never played, word of mouth resulted in a capacity crowd. After one show they were signed by Duff Entertainment and a month later they performed at the biggest fest in the city, Retro on Roscoe. They have played Retro on Roscoe every year since, moving  from openers to headliners.”
